How to create matching questions? (matching type)

1. Access Your Test or Assignment:

   • Navigate to the test or assignment where you want to add the question.
   • Click the + button.
   • Helpful Reading: If you have not yet created a Test or Assignment, learn how to create an assignment/activity.

     
     

2. Select "Matching":

   • From the list of question types, choose Add Matching question.
   • 

3. Add Question Text:

   • In the Type Question # field, write the question text to provide context for the matching pairs.

4. Create Matching Pairs:

   • Prompt Column: In the first column, input the prompts or questions.
   • Answer Column: In the second column, input the corresponding answers.
   • Add Rows: Click the Add Pair button to add more pairs as needed.
   • Add Distractors: Click the Add Distractor button to add nuisance in the choices.

5. Set Question Options (Optional):

   • Randomize Answer Order: Enable this option to shuffle the order of the answers for each attempt.
   • Partial Credit: You can set up partial credit for partially correct matches.
   • Feedback: Provide specific feedback for correct and incorrect matches to help students learn.

6. Save Your Question:

   • Click Save to add the matching question to your test or assignment.
