Finding Out if your Assignment Bin is Anonymous

Modified on Mon, 28 Apr at 11:10 AM

To know if your assignment bin is anonymous, check first if your course is in Blackboard Original (Classic Interface) or Ultra (New Interface). Head on to What is the difference of Blackboard Original and Blackboard ULTRA?

In Blackboard Original (Classic Interface)

When submitting an assignment, on the page where you upload your file or input your text submission, you should see a notice in the submission page under the Assignment Information.

If you see this, you can be confident that your submission has been graded anonymously.

What can I benefit from being graded anonymously?

Anonymous grading benefits you as a student by reducing bias and enforces your instructor to only focus their evaluation solely on the quality of your submitted work.

In Blackboard Ultra (New Interface)

You can check if anonymous submission is enabled for an assignment by looking for a notice in the assignment details (when you head on to View Instructions) or on the page where you upload your submission.
