Tests: Quizzes and Exams

All tests require you to be online. Please make sure the that you have a stable internet connection when taking a test. 

Test Access Rules

In actual courses, your online quizzes can have various restrictions, such as:

• date/time of availability
• date/time of deadline
• duration
• auto-submission mode when the duration has lapsed
• number of attempts allowed
• computation rules for multiple attempts
• retaking or continuing from an unfinished/unsubmitted attempt
• penalties for late submissions
• makeup exam
• and so on...

Additional Tips

• Always get confirmation about quiz rules from the Professor. It's best to clarify these before the actual quiz starts.
• Plan ahead, have a backup network connection available in case your primary Wi-Fi goes down.
• Make sure that you start your quiz as early as possible so that you will have the time to review your answers.
• Check if your answers have been saved before you submit. A prompt will be shown before the submission, and it will be your last chance to modify your answers.
• There are also various scenarios on when you will be able to see your results and your scores. You can always review them later as you view your grades.
• When you get disconnected, the answers that you have last saved will be retained. If allowed, you can resume the quiz by reconnecting.
• In many cases, tests are not meant to be taken using a mobile device. Even though quizzes can be taken using a phone or tablet, there is a possibility that the contents of the quiz questions will not fit the smaller screens.

Troubleshooting

• Immediately alert the program team as soon as you encounter a problem during a test.
• Provide detailed documentation for your issue such as screenshots or video recordings and note the date and time.
