Creating a Discussion Board Post

To create a discussion board post, make sure that your instructor has created one for the class.

To verify if there is an active discussion board in your course, you will have to visit Discussions on the Course Navigation bar.

Under the 'Discussions,' you can view all the Discussion Board/s created by your instructor. It can be graded or not (formative). You will see if it is graded when there is a grading portion under the 'Details & Information.'

To create a post inside the Discussion Board, just type a response below the instructions.

Once you've entered your response, all the members of the course will be able to see what you have entered.

Depending on the setting your instructor has configured, other participants may be able to reply and react to your response to that particular Discussion Board post.
